Established in 2016, the Committee on Gender Equity and Diversity (CGED) is dedicated to fostering an environment of inclusivity in the Faculty of Arts. The CGED focuses on key objectives related to research and to administration in the Faculty. It supports research related to women, gender and sexuality. It reviews policies in the Arts and makes recommendations to promote equity among all members irrespective of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion or ability.  Specifically, it seeks to nurture female academic talent and advance women into leadership roles at HKU.
